Fang-Yen, Christopher

Biography

Dr. Fang-Yen is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Ohio State University.  His research is focused on understanding how neural circuits create behavior, using the microscopic roundworm C. elegans as a model.   His laboratory also develops innovative technologies for imaging and manipulating C. elegans and other systems.  Dr. Fang-Yen received a B. S. in Physics and Mathematics at Stanford University and a Ph. D. in Physics at MIT.  He completed postdoctoral training at MIT and Harvard University.  Prior to coming to OSU, Dr. Fang-Yen was a member of the faculty of the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania.
