Mark Geil

Mark Geil is a Professor of Biomechanics and Chair of the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management at Kennesaw State University. He also has faculty appointments in Biological Sciences at Georgia Tech and in Physical Therapy at Georgia State University. Dr. Geil received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from N.C. State University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Ohio State University. He helped create the world’s first entry-level MS degree program in Prosthetics and Orthotics while at Georgia Tech, and founded the Center for Pediatric Locomotion Sciences at Georgia State. Dr. Geil is a Fulbright Senior Specialist awardee and winner of the Research Award from the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.
