The BUCKEYE RESEARCH EXPERIENCE FOR UNDERGRADUATES (REU) program is back for their second year after being on pause for two years due to the pandemic. The program includes 10 students from across the country with hands on research in biomechanics and mechanobiology. The students are mentored by several biomedical engineering (BME) faculty members, in addition to faculty in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE). The program is concluding its 6th week of the 10 week program. The research symposium will be on Thursday, July 28th from 12-4pm in the Physics Research Building and Scott Lab. La’Tonia Stiner-Jones (BME) is the PI and Keith Gooch (BME) and Gunjan Agarwal (MAE) are the co-PIs.
