The 7th Annual Engineering in Healthcare: Industry and Research Symposium

On February 18th - 19th, 2022, the 7th Annual Engineering in Healthcare: Industry and Research Symposium (EHIRS) took place virtually. EHIRS is organized and hosted by the Ohio State BMES Chapter, with the help of the Biomedical Engineering Grad Student Association and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. This year there were over 300 attendees, coming from over 20 BMES University Chapters, and 11 Company Sponsors. EHIRS was highlighted by keynote speakers Dr. Judson Englert, SVP of Clinical Research and Development at Cyteir Therapeutics, and Dr. Naomi Chesler, Director of the Edwards Lifesciences Foundation Cardiovascular Innovation and Research Center, which both took place on February 18, in addition to several industry panels, networking sessions.

On day two, EHIRS  held a special Stanford Biodesign Digital Health Workshop, headlined by Dr. Vishnu Ravi, Dr. Oliver Alami, Blynn Shideler, and Mihir Joshi. To wrap-up the event there was a Graduate Platform Research Presentation session and a General Poster Presentation session after the workshop.
