Lemmerman receives Paper of the Year award!

PhD student Luke Lemmerman’s (Biomedical Engineering) paper, entitled “Nanotransfection-based vasculogenic cell reprogramming drives functional recovery in a mouse model of ischemicstroke", published March, 2021 in Journal: Science Advances, has been selected as the Chronic Brain Injury Program’s 2021 Paper of the Year. There were many strong candidates in candidate pool, reviewed by panel of judges selected from Ohio State faculty across campus. Lemmerman’s paper received the best overall score. Lemmerman is advised by Dr. Daniel Gallego-Perez, Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Surgery.

As part of the Paper of the Year award, Lemmerman will receive a $500.00 prize and an opportunity to present this work at Neurotrauma Research in Progress Seminar virtually on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 9:30AM. Congratulations Luke!
