2020 BME 10th and 50th class reunions

Posted:

SAVE THE DATE!!!! BME TURNS 50 YEARS OLD!

The year 2020 is going to be a historic year for the Department of Biomedical Engineering and we want to be sure our alums do not miss a few special events!  First, it will be roughly 50 years since BME was founded as a research center, through the department of electrical engineering. Second, 2020-2021 will mark 10 years since our first undergraduate class of fourteen students graduated from the department, joined by 10 masters and 2 PhD. Students.

To honor and celebrate this significant milestone, we will be hosting a 50 year reunion for the program’s first graduate students and a 10 year reunion for the class of 2011. This celebration will take place during the grand opening of The Biomedical and Materials Engineering Complex, which will occur next fall.  If you were a graduate student or faculty member in the early 1970’s or if you graduated in 2011, please expect to hear from us in the near future!  Of course, you do not need to wait for us, feel free to reach out to our Senior Director of Development, Steve Crissinger, who can fill you in on what we are planning.  Steve can be reached at Crissinger.15@osu.edu and will need your help to ensure we connect with all alums and faculty of the department.

If you are not a member of either of the reunion classes, you are still part of our rich history and we do not want to leave you out.  We invite you to join us at the grand opening celebration for BMEC!  Start spreading the word now!
